Each half term, we offer a wide range of extra-curricular sporting activities for our pupils across school. After-school clubs for children in the foundation stage usually start after Christmas, once they are more settled into school life. Our after school clubs give the children a flavour of the sport/activity and we would encourage parents looking for competitive clubs to look at the many excellent clubs we have in our local area.

This term, the children have been encouraged to join in games and activities during lunchtimes. These have proved extremely popular and we are looking to train up some playground leaders to support Mrs Clarke and Miss Roberts who have been doing a fantastic job.
Mrs Schack's Gym club have been enjoying their vaulting lately....check out the videos below!!
Gymnastics club runs every Friday after school throughout the year for different year groups. The sessions are run by experienced coaches Jen Schack and Eleanor Addy. The children learn a range of skills and perform for parents in their final session every half term. This is a very popular after school club and gifted and talented children from KS2 will also be selected to compete in the Key Steps Gymnastics competition in the Spring term.
A group of girls in Year 4 have decided to continue their running club at lunchtime this year. The year 4 leaders take and encourage a group of children to run in the playground, have little races, and help and support the younger children. This has been popular with many of the younger children in FS2 and our leaders have also started giving out little awards too. This is fantastic to see - keep up the great work girls!
Table Tennis Club
A selection of Year 4 and 5 pupils have been taking part in a table tennis club on Monday and Thursday lunchtimes.
Simon Perfitt, who leads the lunchtime club, has also helped us to purchase two full-size table tennis tables. Many thanks to Simon for his continued support in school!
