School Meals

All children in Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 can get free school meals. Some children in Years 3-Year 6 may also be entitled to free school meals. If you are on benefits or a low income, your child may be eligible for free school meals.

For those children in Early Years and Key Stage 1, it is important to let school know if you are on benefits or a low income as your child may be entitled to Pupil Premium Grant. This money is used by schools to support disadvantaged children to:

  • support the quality of teaching, such as staff professional development;
  • provide targeted academic support, such as tutoring; and
  • tackle non-academic barriers to academic success, such as attendance, behaviour and social and emotional support

Please speak to us in confidence if you think your child might qualify for the Pupil Premium Grant.

More information can be found on our Pupil Premium and Recovery Funding Page

If you would like your child to have a school meal at lunchtime, the cost from 1st September 2023 will be;

£2.17 per day for children in Nursery

£2.55 per day for children in Key Stage 2 (years 3 - 6).

All children in FS2 (Reception) and Key Stage 1 (years 1 and 2) are eligible for a free school meal under the Universal Free School Meal initiative.

For children who wish to change between packed lunches and school meals, we require two weeks notice in writing to the school office.
