GUISELEY PRIMARY PARENTS GROUP
FUNDRAISING FOR 2019 AND BEYOND!
We are raising money to build a Multi-Use Games Area or MUGA for short. This will mean we have an artificially-surfaced area on which all the children can play sports all year round. The school would ideally like to start work on it in October 2019.
The MUGA is going to cost between £50,000 and £60,000 and school has asked us to raise £25,000 towards this amount, so all our fundraising for now will support this. So as many children at the school as possible can benefit while they are here, we are looking at ways in which we can raise as much money as possible, as quickly as we can.
Read on for ways in which we can all help to meet our target...
We’ve got accounts with Easyfundraising.org and Smile.amazon.co.uk.
By using the links below you can register and these companies will contribute money to the Parents’ Group, as you do your online shopping, at no cost to you. (Links are also on our Facebook page).
Use Easyfundraising to shop with 3,500 retailers including M&S, Next, Argos, John Lewis, as well as Viking, Staples, Screwfix, theTrainline, Booking.com etc - great for your businesses too!
Do you work for an organisation / company that will match fund any charitable contributions? Guiseley Primary School Parents Group is a charity (registered charity no. 1044225). Can you help out and then apply to match fund what we raise for the event?
Corporate & Social Responsibility (CSR)
Does the company you work for have a CSR policy that could make it easier for you to help out with Parents Group events? As we’re a charity, this might be something you could get paid time off for – win / win!!!
Charitable grants / donations
Do you know any organisations that give grants to schools / charities / sporting facilities? Do you work for or know a company that is looking to support a charity – our MUGA campaign could be their charity!
Do you know someone who wants to do something amazing but is just looking for a cause that could benefit? It could be us! Most efforts that involve sponsorship are eligible for Gift Aid, which means the Government contribute an additional 25% on top of what is raised.
If you wish to donate money to our cause, please get in touch with the school office. We have a simple form that can be filled in so we can also add 25% Gift Aid to any donation.
If you / your business / employer is interested in donating a sum of money in exchange for recognition as a sponsor or wish to 'buy a section' of the MUGA to support the build and leave a legacy, then please get in touch with the School Office. (More info on that coming soon).

For these events to run smoothly and well, we need as many volunteers as possible. The more help we get, the better the event, the more children can participate and the more money we raise! Volunteers help organise, set up, run and clear up at events. Even if all you can give is an hour, we will gladly take it!
Finally, if there are any parents or carers that know more on the subject of fundraising / grant submissions etc we’d really welcome your knowledge – please get in touch with the School Office if you think you can help!
