GUISELEY PRIMARY PARENTS GROUP
A warm welcome to the Parents’ Group section of the Guiseley Primary School website.
What is Parents’ Group?
We organise events to raise money for the school and to provide fun activities for the children. The group helps to create a sense of community.
Who runs Parents’ Group?
We are a small group of parents whose children are at Guiseley Primary School. We have a chairperson, secretary and treasurer plus a number of volunteers, including a couple of members of staff.
Can I join Parents’ Group?
Yes please! We are always keen to welcome new members to the group.
How do I get involved?
Drop us an email with your contact details to email@example.com
We have a WhatsApp group to keep in touch so we will add you to the group.
How much time do I need to give?
You would be very welcome to join the regular meetings. We do also have a number of parents who are not able to join the meetings but can help out at events. Even if you are able to give a few hours each year at events it would be greatly appreciated. Please get in touch if you feel you would be able to give any time.
When and how do you meet?
We currently use Zoom to run our meetings, approximately every 6 weeks and they typically last 45 minutes. Previously, we have held face to face meetings however due to the pandemic, and people’s busy lives, we have found Zoom meetings work the best for the moment.
What events do you run?
We hold regular used uniform sales. In the past, we have organised various events such as a Christmas Trail, Christmas, Easter and Summer fairs, discos, movie nights and bake sales.
What do you raise money for?
Over the years, we have raised money for the MUGA (Multi Use Games Area), curtains for the school hall, the sound system in the hall and play equipment to name just a few. All the money we raise goes back into the school for the benefit of the children.
Everyone is welcome to join the group so please get in touch if you would like to be involved.
Thank you for your support!
